Coach Education

In 2002 the inaugural Level 1 Gaelic Football Coaching Course was launched. This Course has been approved by the Australian Sports Commission. The course is available and conducted by each mainland Australian State affiliate for aspiring coaches.

Coaching Courses

A recognised, certified Level 1 Coaching qualification is granted to coaches who participate in official courses and are subsequently accredited. A panel of experienced tutors who have received specialist training present these courses.

Following is detail relating to the target levels:
· Geared to cater for people coaching from Under-12 downwards.
· Geared to cater for people coaching from U-14 through to adult teams at club level.
· Geared to cater for the underage State coach
· Geared to cater for the State adult coach.

Requirements:
Minimum 15 Course hours
20 hours Practical Coaching Assignments plus Logbook completion
